Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were blessed with a baby boy on Sunday. After Kareena’s first delivery, the couple had named their firstborn Taimur which attracted a lot of controversies claiming it was inspired by Turkish invader, Timur. However, the star couple later cleared the air revealing that Taimur means iron.
But, did you know Taimur was almost given a different name until the last moment? In an interview, Kareena revealed that while there was a lot of trolling regarding her son’s name, there was also an immense amount of support. However, the night before the actress was hospitalized, it was Saif who wanted to name their baby Faiz.
“It’s more poetic and romantic” Saif had justified, but Kareena refused to change her mind as she wanted her son to be a fighter. “I want my son to be a fighter. Taimur means ‘iron’ and I will produce Iron Man. I am proud to name him Taimur” she concluded.
