As an artiste, I have only looked to contribute towards bringing a positive change in society through cinema and this moment is a huge validation of my belief system and my journey. I have always believed that cinema has the power to bring about change by triggering the right conversations among people and society. Hopefully, through my content choices, I have been able to contribute towards my country and countrymen.”

Soon after the post, the Padmavat actress, Deepika Padukone also appreciated the actor’s film choices in the magazine, “I remember Ayushmann Khurrana vividly from his debut film, Vicky Donor. He had, of course, been a aprt of the entertainment industry in varous other ways for several years before that, but the reason you and I talk about him today is because of the impact he has been able to create through memorable films and iconic characters. Where male protagonist roles often fall into the trap of stereotypical masculinity, Ayushmann has successfully and convincingly transformed into characters who challenge those very stereotypes.”

Adding to this, Deepika Padukone said that besides talent and hard work, patience, perseverance and fearlessness are also characteristics of those who dare to dream, just like Ayushmann.

Adding to the list of well-wishers included Ayushmann’s Badhai Ho co-star, Neena Gupta, who wrote, “Oh amazing!” Rapper Badshah wrote, “More power.” Mrunal Thakur commented, “Wow, There you go.” South actor Aishwarya Lekshmi commented, “Woah!!! That’s huge! So happy for you!” Lifestyle coach Luke Coutinho also wrote, “Congrats bro so well deserved.” Manav Vij dropped several clap emojis in the comment section of the actor’s post.

He had also collected praises for his performances in ‘Dum Laga ke Haisha’, ‘Bareilly ki Barfi’, ‘Article 15’ and ‘Dream Girl.’

Ayushmann, who started with a reality show, made his debut in Bollywood’s 2012 movie, ‘Vicky Donor’ and instantly won hearts with his charm and screen presence. He is a master of many of the offbeat roles in the unconventional films and this has helped him emerge as one of Bollywood’s most bankable star who can be counted to surprise every time with his acting skills. But the journey hasn’t been a smooth one for him.

Recalling his initial days in the industry, Ayushmann told, “Initially, there used to be auditions where they would take your solo test. Then suddenly, the number started increasing and there would be 50 people in the same room. When I protested, they asked me to leave. So I faced rejections. Also, I’m well equipped to handle failure now because of the failure I saw at the very beginning of my career. Had I never witnessed the lows, I don’t think I would be able to handle it if it came now. Everything changes every Friday. I have just been lucky to have a few great Fridays in the last two-three years.”

Ayushmann is coming up with a bunch of his new movies like Gulabo Sitabo (June 2020), Googly (September, 2020), Chhoti Si Baat Remake (October 2020), Shoot The Piano Player (October, 2020) and Badhai Ho 2 (December 2020).
