According to reports, the app has already been launched. While speaking about the same, Kirti said, “We’re still grieving. Our focus now is to take care of each other. I shared my brother’s idea of Nepometer because it enables people to make informed choices. It’s a small tribute to Sushant.” Kirti added that the purpose of the app is not to earn a profit.

 The first film rated in the Nepometer was Sadak 2. It was found to be 98 per cent nepotistic as it is produced by Mukesh Bharr, directed by brother Mahesh Bhatt and stars his two daughters, Pooja Bhatt and Alia Bhatt. The co-stars too scored high on the Nepometer as it stars Sanjay Dutt, son of actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, and Aditya Roy Kapur, who is the brother of producer Siddharth Roy Kapur.

But it seems filmmaker Milap Zaveri is not happy with this app as he slammed the Nepometer and said it is “absolutely ridiculous” to rate how many cast and crew members have industry connections. The director expressed his anger on social media.

Referring to Sadak 2, he worte that the stars and makers of the film have given bonafide blockbusters because of their talent and the love of audiences. :The nepotism debate is a joke,” he added.

Vishal took to his Twitter handle and announced the news by revealing the details about the Nepometer. The Nepometer will provide information to people that will help in fighting against nepotism in Bollywood. He revealed that Nepometer is being launched in the memory of Late Sushant Singh Rajput and shared more information about it. Further, he explained that Nepometer will provide information and rating to movies and other projects based on how independent or nepotistic the people behind it are. The Nepometer is created by Vishal’s brother Mayuresh Krishna.

Further, Vishal added that its time that people should fight Bollywood nepotism with an ideal amount of information. He explained the functioning of the nepometer in detail and wrote that the nepometer will provide ratings for movies based on how nepotistic or independent the crew is. He wrote that if the nepometer is high, then it means it is time to boycott the Bollywood nepotism and fight against it.

Seeing this, several SSR fans flooded the comment section appreciating the idea and stood in support of the cause.
