The series promises to be a psychological thriller with a unique twist, where the police enlist a convicted serial killer, played by Madhuri, to help profile and capture another serial killer on the loose. This intriguing premise stems from an adaptation of a French series.
A source quoted by Mid-Day reveals, “The show tells the story of how the police hire a serial killer and pick her brains to understand another serial killer’s modus operandi and nab him. The show is a remake of a French series.” The casting for this dark thriller is currently underway, with the team expressing excitement over presenting Madhuri in an unprecedented role.
If all goes according to plan, “Mrs. Deshpande” will mark Nagesh Kukunoor’s return to the digital realm following his work on “Modern Love Hyderabad.” Known for his nuanced narratives, Kukunoor’s foray into darker storytelling, paired with Madhuri’s seasoned acting skills, is anticipated to captivate audiences.
