Kohrra Set to Return: Season 2 Brings More Mystery and Star Power
The multiple award-winning crime drama series, “Kohrra,” is gearing up for a riveting second season. Set against the backdrop of Punjab, “Kohrra” delves deep into societal complexities. Season 1 received widespread acclaim for its unique mix of crime and emotion, touching the human psyche, and boasting exceptional performances. The gripping narrative captured global audiences, earning over 20 awards, including the Best Series Award in Melbourne and numerous accolades at home for Best Web Series, Best Actor, Best Ensemble, Best Editing, and Best Cinematography.
The upcoming season will see the return of Barun Sobti as the dedicated police officer Garundi. Joining the cast is the highly talented Mona Singh, known for her impactful roles in shows like “Kaala Paani.” Together, they will navigate a new murder mystery intertwined with intricate family dynamics and hidden secrets, set against the evocative, fog-filled landscape of Punjab.
Tanya Bami of Netflix expressed excitement, noting the show’s near-cult following and the eagerness of fans awaiting Season 2. She emphasized the addition of Mona Singh to the cast alongside Barun Sobti, enhancing the show’s appeal.
