Bollywood woke up to another bitter news of the demise of ace choreographer Saroj Khan. Remembering Saroj Khan in a heartfelt note, Abhishek Bachchan recalled how she had called the shot for his first ever song, referring to his debut film ‘Refugee’. Taking to his twitter account Abhishek wrote, “My first ever song was choreographed by Saroj ji. And then so many more. You taught me so much. I will miss you, Saroj ji. May you rest in peace.”

In a career spanning over four decades, Saroj Khan had worked with a whole lot of leading ladies like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi, Shilpa Shetty, Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor Khan to name a few. Bollywood celebrities lovingly referred to Saroj Khan as ‘Masterji’. Her last song was with Madhuri Dixit; Saroj Khan had choreographed the song ‘Tabaah Hogaye’ from ‘Kalank’.

Saroj Khan passed away at the age of 71, she was laid to rest at a cemetery in Malad. “We buried her at around 7 am. The prayer meeting will be held after three days,” the veteran choreographer’s daughter, Sukaina Khan told PTI.
