With its star casts like Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki and Jim Parson, every episode kept fans thoroughly entertained, and many can agree that the laughs just never stopped.

Revolving around two extremely smart physicists who had trouble with social skills and getting along with people in the outside world, the show ran for 12 long years from 2007-2019, and chances are, fans will be enjoying reruns for years to come. But what is this story behind the $50 Million? Well, let’s check it out.

Parsons was born in 1973 and is best known for his work in The Big Bang Theory. The show helped him rise to fame, and he became one of the highest paid actors on television. According to IMDb, Parsons knew for quite some time that he wanted to pursue acting, and he is definitely a natural in front of the cameras, having been nominated for an impressive nine Emmy Awards. He took several small roles in different shows before getting the big break in The Big Bang Theory.

Sheldon, who was portrayed as a blunt, sweet and hilarious made the audience fall in love with him. Parsons had explicitly brought Sheldon into life that the real and reel life characters didn’t seems to have any difference. Sheldon, who was initially shown to be socially awkward with a limited friends, eventually finds his companion, Amy, portrayed by Mayim Bialik. The fans loved Sheldon’s weird and quirky habits, his strict schedules, and often his immature behavior.

Now, since the end of The Big Bang Theory, Parsons has been seen in different roles which are poles apart from his character of Sheldon. And to be honest, he aced in those characters too. According to Collider, he is starring in Netflix’s Broadway adaptation of The Boys in the Band, and we can’t imagine how excited his fans must be. He also starred in the miniseries Hollywood, where he played the role of a talent agent Henry Wilson.

Since the end of the hit sitcom, Parsons has proved what a talented actor he is since the roles he has taken are so different from what his fans are used to seeing in The Big Bang Theory. He can really transform into any character and his work is nothing less than amazing.

Since The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper has become a household name, but the fans might not know that he walked away from an unimaginable amount of money. Even though the show was set to run for a few more years, according to Vanity Fair, Parsons felt that the time was right to leave, and even the enormous amount of money he was offered couldn’t change his mind. As a result, the show’s cancellation was accelerated, and Parsons has expressed how thankful he is for his role as the very entertaining Sheldon Cooper.
