Fantasy tales have always been an excitement to many. While thinking of them, 90’s kids have lived through the magic created by J.K. Rowling in 1997 with her first Harry Potter novel hitting the shelves. Rowling is one such inspiring author who has changed the life of many kids by letting them wander through the explicitly awe-strucking journey of Hogwarts while inspiring a bunch of others to broaden their creative minds and start writing.
With her announcement of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow being the final part of the saga, it did leave its fans in tears. Potter-maniacs have been collecting the books of every series, keeping the records of each movie to replay the nostalgia on-and-on. Well, some did went lucky collecting the “rare” of the collectibles.
The first Harry Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone had only 500 copies published in the beginning. More than half of it went to the libraries. Yet, someone got lucky to get one of them. The Lancashires had this rare copy safely placed in their briefcase for the last 20 years. They called it as relic for the family. But when the auction started, the book was found in the most perfect condition as it may have been bought just the last day. Guess what? The book has been auctioned and sold in a whooping amount of $50,000.
So, keep your collectibles in the best condition as you may have seen them first. Never know, what an amount of a treasure you are possessing with you.
