Actress, Sanjana Sanghi, the co-star of Sushant Singh Rajput’s last movie, ‘Dil Bechara,’ recorded her statement with the Mumbai Police on June 30, 2020. The actress was summoned by the Police for recording her statement regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

According to sources, it was learnt that Sanjana Sanghi was asked questions by the Mumbai Police about her reported problems with Sushant Singh Rajput during the shooting of ‘Dil Bechara’ to which the actress rubbished all the controversies and reports of such incident on the sets. The actress had also posted tributes to the late actor on her social meida page, and told the police that she did not have any problem with Sushant Singh Rajput.

Soon after giving her statement to Mumbai Police, Sanjana left for her hometown, Delhi. while doing so, she shared a selfie from the Mumbai Airport and wrote, “Khuda hafiz, Mumbai. 4 mahine baad aapke darshan hue. Mein Chali, Dilli vaapis. Aapki sadke kuch alag si lagi, sunsaan thi. Shayad mere dil mein jo dukh hai, mere nazariye ko badal rahe hain. Ya shayad, filhaal aap mein bhi thode dukh mein hai. Milte hain? Jaldi. Ya shayad, nahi.’ Sanjana’s post raised questions as her post hinted that she might not return to Mumbai ever, or anytime soon.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has now been summoned by the Bandra police in the Sushant case. Shekhar Kapur had worked with Sushant in one of his most ambitious projects, ‘Paani’ which was shelved after they worked on it for almost two years.

Meanwhile, the police has already recorded the statement of three executives of YRF. Around 30 people have been called in by Mumbai Police for questioning in the case, and the investigation is still on.

‘Dil Bechara’ is the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra. The movie was supposed to release in theatres in May, 2020. But due to the coronavirus pandemic and the ongoing lockdown, the movie will be released in Disney+Hotstar on 24th July, 2020.
