Rohit Shetty, Akshay Kumar drop Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions from Sooryavanshi, returns his money amid Nepotism backlash!

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has brought a storm on social media like never before. It has sparked the debate on nepotism and many filmmakers, actors and actresses are at the receiving end of endless trolls on social media and things are really getting out of hand. Karan Johar lost out on many Instagram followers and so did Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Ekta Kapoor and many others. Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor received death threats on social media too.

Following the backlash, there were news about Karan resigning from the board of MAMI international film festival.

And now, according to film critic Sahil Sand, Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar have dropped out of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and their share in Sooryavanshi. Sahil took to his social media account to make this announcement. He wrote, “RohitShetty and #AkshayKumar drop out #KaranJohar and #DharmaProductions from #Sooryavanshi and have returned the investment!! ‬
