Initially, the death of Sushant Singh Rajput had been declared as a case of suicide, but as the investigations gest deeper, the Mumbai Police is probing into the case and have sent the cloth, allegedly used by him to hang himself, to a forensic lab for âtensile strengthâ analysis to determine whether it can bear the weight similar to that of the actor.
As said by one of the officer, this test will help to determine if there was any foul play.
Meanwhile, on July 6, the Bandra Police have summoned film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali to record his statement in connection with the case. Bhansali had offered films to Sushant but could not work with him apparently due to date issues.
To ascertain the exact cause of death, forensic experts will check pattern of ligature marks around the actorâs neck and also determine the strength of the cloth will the help of âtensile strength.â
This test will technically establish whether the cloth can bear around 80 kg, the weight of the actor. The test will help determine if there was any foul play, the official said.
The official said that the Bandra police have summoned Bhansali and he will join the investigation on Monday, when his statement will be recorded. âThe police, who are probing angle of possible professional rivalry in the case, will enquire about the reason behind the actorâs depression,â the official added.
Still shock and sadness in regards to Sushant’s demise. I think alot of his fans and people who loved him just cannot comprehend. He was so multi-talented and a person of depth and genius level intelligence. On top of all his hard work to achieve all these goals. He always shared his bright happy smile. Just sureness, sweet, kind and humble. Sunshant had it all and then some. He was India’s own Elvis, that level. These are reasons we all loved him, so hard to deal with our loss.
