Bollywood diva, Deepika Padukone is all set with her upcoming movie “Chhapak”. Deepika, who is known for her patience and seamlessness with her roles has done a great work with the character of an acid attack victim. Chhapak is a real life story of ‘Laxmi Agarwal’, the survivor of the attack. Deepika is playing the role as “Malti.” The movie is a history in itself as we will be seeing Deepika for the first time as a producer too.
Director Meghna Gulzar and the real life Malti, Laxmi Agarwal has been all praises for Deepika for having immense patience and letting herself immerse into the role completely. The “wizardry” prosthetics applied by prosthetic expert, Clover Wootton has worked like wonders. The shooting for the movie has been wrapped by 4th of June, this year.
Deepika’s first look for the film has collected accolades and appreciation from her fans, film folks and critics. Vikrant Massey will be casted opposite Deepika in this movie. The actress has poured her emotions for Chhapak on social media site, “a character that will stay with me forever.” Slated to be released on January 10, 2020, the fans as well as the industry itself is waiting eagerly to watch it on the silver screen.
