During the podcast, Ranbir reminisced about meeting Alia for the first time when he was 20, and she was just 9. He mentioned how Alia has evolved since their marriage, noting efforts she made to soften her tone — a stark contrast to his father’s, which always unsettled him. Additionally, he discussed Alia’s instinctive reactions as a mother to their daughter Raha, which often catch him off guard. Despite his praises for Alia’s nature, career, and influence on his life, Ranbir admitted he hasn’t yet reciprocated with similar gestures.
However, these comments did not sit well with some netizens. Critics took to social media, labeling Ranbir as having a “toxic nature.” Some users found his comparison of Alia to a daughter or sister unsettling, especially given their age difference when they first met.
