Kangana was shooting for Jayalalitha’s biopic ‘Thalaivi’ when the lockdown was announced and the makers of the film seems to be facing some serious loss. According to a report, the team of ‘Thalaivi’ are bearing the maintenance cost and studio rent of the sets amidst the lockdown. According to the reports, the makers have suffered a loss of Rs. 5 crores till now. The ‘Thalaivi’ team had constructed a Parliament House set at the Hyderabad studio for a 45-days shoot but unfortunately the team couldn’t shoot for even a single day.
The makers are waiting for the lockdown to be lifted and are keen in completing the shoot before the rains as they have a outdoor set which would be completely ruined and reconstructing the same would be expensive.
The film is directed by A.L Vijay and will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
