The nation broke into tears recently, when fate took away the invaluable gems of Bollywood. Veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor, 67, passed away on April 30, 2020, in Mumbai.
Rishi ji was reportedly shooting for his upcoming movie, Sharmaji Namkeen, opposite Juhi Chawla, since 2018 which hasn’t been released yet. He shot the film before being diagnosed with leukemia.
According to reports, the team of Excel Prodcutions which is looking after the production of the movie Sharmaji Namkeen is shocked due to the sudden demise of the actor. There had been rumours that the movie might not be a priority anymore. However, as per the reports by a Bollywood gossip website, a source close to the production house has told that the movie will neither be left incomplete nor it will be abandoned.
It is also reported that the movie will be completed and this is the least that the production house can do to honour the memory of this great actor. The producer of Sharmaji Namkeen, Honey Tehran who previously spoke about it, said that Rishi ji was very eager to start shooting after returning from New York.
The movie was scheduled to resume its shooting on Janurary 15, 2020. However, Rishi ji’s sister, Rita Nanda passed away that month and he had to travel tolook after his family in the crisis. The date was rescheduled and Rishi Kapoor told the producers that he won’t let any personal matter get into his professional life. He added that his father taught him that, ‘the show must go on.’
Rishi Kapoor’s demise has left a vacuum in fan’s heart and each one of us will remember him for his charm and priceless contribution to the film industry.
