It is a quiet known fact that Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol have not been in good terms since their last movie, Darr back in 1993. Both the actors have not shared the screen space since then. Well, Sunny was not happy regarding the portrayal of the characters. Sunny, who played th role of a commando had to lose from a ‘villian’ played by Shah Rukh. He did not like that the role of a villain was been glorified which is an injustice with his character of a commando. Not only this, Sunny ripped of his pants on the sets out of anger while shooting a sequence of the film. It is now 16 years that both the actors have not spoken to each other. However, King Khan recently showed a sweet gesture towards Sunny which hints towards situation lighting up.
As per the reports in Mumbai Mirror, Sunny is planning to make the remake of his film Damini with his son Karan Deol. But the rights of the film is with Shah Rukh Khan’s home banner Red Chillies Entertainment who bought it from Damini’s producers Aly and Karim Morani. Well, Shah Rukh got to know that Sunny was planning to remake the film and hence SRK drove himself to his house without prior informing and handed over the rights, which is kind of sweet gesture on the part of SRK.
Meanwhile, in an interview with India TV, Sunny talked about the incident with SRK. He said, “I was doing a scene in the film where Shah Rukh stabs me. I had a heated discussion with Yash Chopra regarding that scene. I tried explaining that I am a commando officer in the film, my character is an expert, I am very fit, then how can this boy (Shah Rukh’s character in the film) beat me easily. He can beat me if I can’t see him. If he can stab me while I am looking at him, then I won’t be called a commando.”
He added, “Since Yash ji was old, I respected him and couldn’t say anything. I put my hands inside my pocket as I was very angry. Soon, out of anger, I didn’t even realize that I had ripped my pants with my hands.”
