Diljit Dosanjh Joins Sunny Deol in Highly-Anticipated Sequel, Border 2
Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is set to star alongside Sunny Deol in the much-awaited sequel, Border 2, stirring excitement among fans and the film industry. Dosanjh will portray a real-life Army officer, though specific details about his role remain confidential. An insider revealed, “Diljit Dosanjh is enthusiastic about the opportunity to play a real army officer and will soon start preparing to fully embody the role.”
The news follows Sunny Deol’s June announcement of Border 2, aligning with the 27th anniversary of the original Border film. Deol’s nostalgic announcement featured a video where his voice recalled, “27 saal pehle ek fauji ne vada kiya tha ki vo vapas aayega. Ussi vaade ko poora karne, Hindustan ki mitti ko apna salaam kehne, aa raha hai.” The video was aptly captioned, “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2.”
In addition to Dosanjh, other notable names like Ayushmann Khurrana, Ammy Virk, and Ahan Shetty will also join the cast. According to sources, “It is an entirely standalone project. Sunny Deol will reprise his role as a soldier, and joining him are Ayushmann Khurrana, Ahan Shetty, and Punjab’s star Ammy Virk in stellar roles.”
