Recently, a short film named ‘Devi’ was released, starring Kajol Devgan and it managed to get 13 million views in just two weeks. ‘Devi’ is a heartbreaking story of 9 women who shares their story of sexual abuse.
Recently, Kajol got brutally trolled for her statement about true survivors and crimes against women. In a recent interaction with Anupama Chopra, she said, “You have a lot of people who are screaming and crying and going on TV and howling. Yes, things may have happened to them and it’s sad but it becomes, there are a whole batch of people screaming and crying about. I wouldn’t say trivialities, but it’s not rape or it’s not as gruesome as what all the rest of the literally the true survivors have faced. I feel there needs to be a balance to how you tell your story.”
