Irrfan Khan is currently admitted in Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai as his health worsens. As per reports, he is admitted under the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Earlier this week, Irrfan’s mother’s demise was a jolt back for the actor who has been staying away from her recently. Irrfan wasn’t able to be in the last rites of his mother due to the nation-wide lock down.
Irrfan, who has been undergoing the treatment for cancer, couldn’t promote his last film, ‘Angrezi Medium’. But in an audio message, he said, “This film, Angrezi Medium is very special for me. I so truly wanted to promote this film with the same love with which we made it. But there are some unwanted guests in my body… Whatever happens, I will share it with you all.”
He added, “And yes, wait for me. It is being said when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. It sounds good. But when you get a handful of lemons it isn’t that easy to squeeze them. What’s the choice that you have, other than staying positive? In situations like these it’s up to us to make lemonade.”
Irrfan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. This rare type of tumour took a toll on the actor as he needed special medical attention. He has being keeping himself away from movies recently due to the same. But he has been keeping his fans updated about his health thorugh social media.
Irrfan, who lost his mother recently, had been staying in Mumbai with his wife and two sons. He couldn’t attend the funeral but reportedly he spoke to his family back in Jaipur via video conferencing.
