Taapsee Pannu never fails to impress the audience as she delivers he best in every role. Before the lockdown set in, Taapsee was planning to get training for Shaabash Mithu, the biopic on Mithali Raj, a popular Indian cricketer, in which she plays the title role.
In a recent chat with BT, she revealed her plans to transform into a cricketer. She told, “One of Mithali’s friends, Nosheen, also a coach with the Railways Team, was going to coach me on the field. I have also met Mithali and she has a few things similar and a few character traits totally opposite of mine. Her demeanour is of a perfect team leader. She’s slightly introverted, which I guess will be a challenge for me to play. I chat with her on messages but it’s been formal so far. I look forward to keeping in touch with her for the rest of my life because she’s an inspiration for many girls like me. As for the training, had everything been fine, I could have used my time to polish my game as a cricketer but that is not possible right now. I can’t watch videos to learn how to play the game. So, I will just try and maintain my health in a way that when I start training again for Rashmi Rocket and Shaabash Mithu, things don’t take very long to fall into place.”
