It’s been 37 days since Sushant Singh Rajput passed away and the investigation in the death case continues, amidst calls for a CBI inquiry growing stronger. The Mumbai Police has questioned around 35 people, including colleagues, friends, family and staff. Here’s the deatils of the information so far:
1. Rhea Chakraborty
On June 18, Rhea was summoned for questioning. Rhea reportedly told the police that they were planning to tie the knot later this year. The actress’ phone was scanned by the police, including the pictures, videos and texts that they had exchanged. When the police asked her about their alleged break-up, she said that she had left the Carter Road penthouse that they shared after a fight with him. Rhea, who was questioned for nearly 10 hours, reportedly said in her statement that they had kept in touch with each other over phone and texts even after the fight.
2. Aditya Chopra
Police have been investigating the contract that Sushant had signed with YRF, Aditya Chopra’s production house, which was apparently terminated later. On July 18, Chopra was questioned by the police for four hours. As per reports, Chopra denied the claim that YRF did not allow Sushant to work in Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela.
3. Shanoo Sharma
The YRF casting director’s statement was recorded on June 27. She was reportedly asked about Sushant’s contracts and projects with the production house.
4. Sanjana Sanghi
On June 30, Sanjana, who was Sushant’s co-star in his last film, Dil Bechara, was questioned by the police about her working equation with the actor.
5. Sanjay Leela Bhansali
The filmmaker was seen at the Bandra Police Station on July 6. Bhansali and Sushant were apparently keen to work with each other over the years and were in talks for Goliyon Ki Raas Leela: Ram-Leela as well as some other films, but the projects didn’t materialise. As per reports, Bhansali stated that he never dropped Sushant from any of his films, instead the actor himself had refused two of his big-budget movies.
6. Sandip Ssingh
Sushant’s friend and Bollywood producer Sandip was among the first people to reach the actor’s residence soon after his demise. He was with the family from the time the actor’s body was taken to the hospital to his last rites.
7. Mukesh Chhabra
Sushant and Mukesh were friends and work associates from the time the former made his Bollywood debut with Kai Po Che. The actor’s last film, Dil Bechara, marks Mukesh’s debut as a director.
8. Showik Chakraborty
Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik, too, recorded his statement with the Mumbai Police. As per reports, Sushant and Showik were partners of an artificial intelligence firm, which was launched in 2019.
9. Siddharth Pithani
Sushant’s friend and creative manager Siddharth Pithani was too questioned by the police. Reportedly, he was the actor’s flatmate and was in the house at the time of the actor’s suicide.
10. Mahesh Shetty
Sushant’s close friend and Pavitra Rishta co-actor Mahesh was among the first few who were called by the Mumbai Police to record his statement. Reportedly, Sushant had called Mahesh hours before he died, but the call didn’t go through. According to reports, Mahesh informed the police that Sushant had stopped taking his anti-depressant pills, as he thought he was fine.
11. Reshma Shetty
The talent manager handles the work of actors like Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar and is the head of a talent management company. She has also worked with Salman Khan in the past. Reportedly, Reshma was interrogated for around five hours by the Mumbai Police.

I really do not understand how so many people have been questioned, but not 1 even in custody. What about people in his house overnight or his sisters?
