Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been making headlines ever since the COVID-19 outbreak for helping over thousands of migrants to reach their destinations. Now, the actor announced to sponsor the first charter flight from Bishkek to Varanasi, near Russia on 22 July to help a group of Indian students stranded in Kyrgyzstan.
Confirming the decision, Sonu wrote in a tweet, “This is to inform to all the students of Kyrgyzstan that it’s time to come home we are operating the first charter Bishkek-Varanasi on 22 nd July. The details of which will be sent to your email id and mobile phones in a while. Charters for other states will also fly this week.”
Earlier, the actor was requested to help a group of 20 medical students from Jharkhand and Bihar, among 3000 other Indian students in Kyrgyzstan who are unable to return to India.
In response to the plights of the stranded students, the Bollywood star responded, “Dear students of Kyrgyzstan, for any info related to your rescue pls mail us on sonu4kyrgyzstan@gmail.com, only EMAIL ID used for the rescue of Indian students. Beware that Team Sonu Sood is NOT CHARGING or COLLECTING ANY MONEY from your in any manner for managing this.”
