Sushant Singh Rajput case: Patna IG writes to BMC commissioner requesting the release of Patna SP from quarantine

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K K Singh had filed an FIR in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty, following which a team from Patna police arrived in Mumbai for investigation. However Patna SP Vinay Tiwari was put in quarantine by the BMC, till August 15. Requesting that the officer be exempted, Patna IG Sanjay Kumar has written to the BMC commissioner Iqbal Chahal, requesting that Patna SP Vinay Tiwari be released for quarantine. According to Times Now, Patna IG Sanjay Kumar has also cited the SOP that states officers on duty cannot be stopped, from the guidelines provided by the union home ministry.

Reports suggested that Rhea Chakraborty had gone missing after the FIR. However, Advocate Satish Maneshinde, who is representing the actress, had clarified, “Rhea Chakraborty has always been living in Mumbai. She was in Mumbai on 14th June 2020. She was not allowed to attend the Funeral of Sushant Singh as her name was stuck off from the list of 20.”
