Sushant Singh Rajput case: Maharashtra Government files submission in SC, calls Patna FIR ‘malafide and illegal’

Rhea Chakraborty has filed a petition in Supreme Court urging them to transfer the FIR filed against her by Sushant Singh Rajput’s father in Patna to Mumbai. Now the Maharashtra Government has filed a submission in the apex court in connection to the plea filed by Rhea. According to a report in Times Now, Maharashtra Government had filed a submission in Supreme Court in connection to the plea filed by Rhea Chakraborty to transfer the case to Mumbai. According to it, the Patna FIR is malafide and illegal and a single-judge bench can’t order for a CBI probe

The written submission also contests that Bihar has no power to recommend the CBI probe and that power lies with the Maharashtra Government. The cause of action they say is only in Maharashtra. It went on to say that even the family initially said that it was suicide and the FIR in Bihar was born out of political pressure. It also stated that Maharashtra is probing professionally and impartially.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment under mysterious circumstances on June 14.
