Rashid Siddiqui, a 25-year-old civil engineer from Bihar, who owns the youtube channel ‘FF News’, has been charged with “defamation, public mischief and intentional insult,” states a report on Mid-Day.
His posts against Mumbai police, Aditya Thakre, etc got him lakhs of views and subscribers.The report further states that Siddiqui’s initial posts on Rajput’s death were widely viewed, and he went on to share more such content that got him an estimated revenue of R6.5 lakh in September. The Youtuber now has now has over 3.70 lakh subscribers.
A senior IPS officer said in a statement that the actor’s death was used as an “opportunity to earn money” as people were curious about the case.
Sushant was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14 under mysterious circumstances.
