‘Jallikattu’ out of Oscar race, Neetu Kapoor says ‘there will be no Chautha held for Rajiv Kapoor’ due to safety reasons

 Malayalam film Jallikattu, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, was selected as India’s official entry to Oscars 2021. But unfortunately “Jallikattu” is out of the race. However, Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, still fights on.

But, there is still a ray of hope for Indians as Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru remains in the Oscars 2021 race. The Sudha Kongara Prasad directorial venture is competing in the general categories under Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Original Score and a few others. Also, Karishma Dev Dube’s project Bittu has been nominated for the final round in the Live Action Short Film category.
