On Sunday morning, Akshay Kumar informed fans that he had tested positive for Covid-19. He wrote, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon!”
Riteish Deshmukh wished the actor a speedy recovery, while making a reference to their hit film ‘Housefull 3’. Calling out to Akshay’s notorious character of Sundi, Riteish commented on Akki’s post, “Get well soon Sundi – love you.”
The actor recently began shooting for ‘Ram Setu’ with Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, this film features Akshay in the role of an archeologist.
