Navya Naveli Nanda Addresses Trolls on IIM-Ahmedabad Admission and Overcoming Negativity
Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, recently opened up about facing online trolls after securing admission to the prestigious IIM-Ahmedabad. In a candid interview at the India Today Conclave, Navya discussed how she deals with negativity and the impact of social media. Navya acknowledged that platforms like social media empower people by giving them a voice, even if that voice sometimes brings criticism. Her admission to one of India’s top institutions is a proud achievement, and she feels privileged to receive top-tier education under esteemed professors.
Addressing the trolls, Navya expressed that she does not get offended by negative comments easily, as she sees herself working for the people and values feedback as a means to improve. She believes this feedback helps her grow into a better person, entrepreneur, and citizen. She admitted her unique upbringing might invite criticism but chooses to focus on her ambitions and personal goals instead. She said, “People will have something to say about that,” but maintains her attention on her objectives and responsibilities.
Navya shared her excitement about her new journey at IIM-Ahmedabad with an Instagram update captioned, “Dreams do come true!!! Home for the next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! BPGP MBA Class of 2026.” Her educational background is impressive, having finished her schooling at Sevenoaks School in London, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology and UX Design from Fordham University in New York.
As a final note, an IIM-Ahmedabad professor also addressed the online trolling Navya faced, adding another layer to this ongoing discussion.
