Superstar Rajinikanth, aged 73, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai after experiencing stomach pain on Monday night. According to a hospital source, the legendary actor’s condition is currently stable. Rajinikanth is set to undergo an elective procedure by interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish in the cardiac cath lab on Tuesday.
Rajinikanth, affectionately known as “Thalaivar,” is one of Indian cinema’s most revered and influential actors. Over his illustrious four-decade career, he has delivered numerous iconic films, including “Sivaji,” “Baasha,” “Enthiran (Robot),” “Annaatthe,” “Petta,” “Kaala,” “Darbar,” and “Kabali.” His recent action-comedy film “Jailer,” released on August 9, 2023, was a massive hit, underscoring his status as a box office titan.
Prior to his hospitalization, Rajinikanth made a stunning appearance at the audio launch of his upcoming film “Vettaiyan,” directed by TJ Gnanavel. The superstar wowed the audience with his infectious dance moves, generating immense excitement for the film’s release on October 10. The buzz around “Vettaiyan” intensified following the release of its official preview. The film, which is Rajinikanth’s 170th, is produced by Lyca Productions and boasts an estimated budget of Rs 160 crore. Filming took place in various picturesque locations across India, including Chennai, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad.
