The prestigious award was presented to her by Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna, who handed it over with heartfelt blessings after Aishwarya respectfully touched his feet. In an exciting twist at the ceremony, Aishwarya herself took to the stage as a presenter, awarding Mani Ratnam the Best Director trophy for the same film.
