Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal joyfully announced the birth of their daughter, Zuneyra Ida Fazal, born on July 16, 2024. Sharing their happiness just days later on July 20 via a joint social media statement, the couple delighted fans by revealing their newborn’s name during a Vogue India interview. Ali described fatherhood as a transformative experience, filling an unexpected void in his life. However, he acknowledged the newfound challenges in balancing work, noting increased anxiety when away from home, as he constantly yearns to be with his daughter and wife.
Richa emphasized a more instinctive approach to motherhood. Eschewing extensive parenting literature, she prefers to rely on her natural instincts, which she believes are the best guide. Although parenting involves some trial and error, Richa feels that her natural maternal instincts have been instrumental in caring for baby Zuni. She trusts in nature’s wisdom to guide her, observing what works best for both herself and Zuni, and is content with the results so far.
The couple, who first met while working on the film Fukrey, tied the knot in 2020 under the Special Marriage Act and celebrated their wedding in 2022. Professionally, Richa was recently seen as Lajjo in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazar. Meanwhile, Ali Fazal has several upcoming projects, including the period fantasy thriller Rakht Brahmand, co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Directed by Raj & DK and Rahi Anil Barve, the film promises an exhilarating experience. Ali is also set to appear in Anurag Basu’s ensemble film Metro… In Dino, featuring a star-studded cast including Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur.
