Guwahati, September 7: Aarya Productions marked another significant step in its theatre journey with the premiere of ‘Woh Kaksh’, its second theatre production, on September 6 at Seagull Theatre, Guwahati. Written and directed by B. Palkee, the psycho-political play brings together an intimate setting and complex questions surrounding power, fear, belief, identity and silence.

Set within a room with three people and a single door, the play goes beyond the physical confines of the space to examine the invisible walls individuals build within themselves. Through its tightly woven narrative, ‘Woh Kaksh’ questions the nature of freedom and confinement, asking: “Are the doors truly locked, or have we simply stopped trying to open them?”
The production uses the metaphor of a room and a locked door to look beyond physical confinement, turning the stage into a space for reflection on the choices, fears and beliefs that can become prisons of their own.
The production features B. Palkee, Gauranga Narayan Dev and Akash Saikia on stage. The set has been designed by Gauranga Narayan Dev and Akash Saikia, assisted by Ridip Bhandar Kayashtha, Priyanshu Medhi and Arbab Umar. Dimple SK has designed the lights, while Gyandeep Deka is responsible for the music design. The costumes have been designed by Agnimitra B. Kashyap.
The premiere was attended by several noted writers, directors, veteran actors and theatre enthusiasts.
