Singer Kanika Kapoor who is well known for her songs Baby Doll, Chitiyaa Kalaiyaan, Lovely, and many more, tested positive for the novel corona-virus on Friday. The 41 years old actress was in London for some time and returned to Lucknow last week. She refrained from informing the authorities about her travel history and upon arriving in Lucknow, she attended a lavish party with her family and friends at a five-star hotel in Lucknow. The party was hosted by top interior designer Adil Ahmed. The party was attended by several bureaucrats, politicians and celebrities. Now, the medical officers are unsure of the method that needs to be observed the entire building where the singer stayed.
Speaking to Aj Tak, Kanika’s father Rajiv Kapoor said that she attended three parties in Lucknow after coming from London and came into contact with around 350 to 400 people. However, he denied reports of Kanika avoiding the airport authorities. Instead he said that she did the test at the airport but “nothing” was reported at that point of time.
Kanika has been admitted to the King George’s Medical University hospital in Lucknow.
