Recently, Akshay donated a massive amount of Rs.25 crore for the PM-CARES fund, to fight the corona-virus pandemic and PM Modi thanked Akshay for his gesture.
Twinkle reveals the exact reason behind the donation. Soon after Akshay announced his donation, Twinkle appreciated his efforts on Twitter. She said, “The man makes me proud. When I asked him if he was sure as it was such a massive amount and we needed to liquidate funds, he just said, ‘I had nothing when I started and now that I am in this position, how can I hold back from doing whatever I can for those who have nothing.”
This is indeed a very nice gesture from Akshay Kumar. Hopefully more people from the industry would come forward to help people fight this deadly disease.
