Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s father, Basantakumar Chakraborty passed away on Tuesday in Mumbai. He was 95 years old and was battling age-related ailments since quite a long time.
Mithun Chakraborty is currently in Bengaluru for a shoot but due to the nation-wide lockdown, the actor got stuck there. The shocking news was announced by his family members. As per reports, Basantakumar Chakraborty passed away due to renal failure.
The actor’s son Mimoh Chakraborty is currently in Mumbai and is looking after the final rites.
Basantakumar Chakraborty is survived by his wife Santimoyee Chakraborty, his son Mithun Chakraborty and other family members.
Mithun Chakraborty has not shared any statement yet on the incident.
