After the unfortunate demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, Karan Johar has been brutally trolled on social media. Karan Johar has been unusually quiet on his social media for the past few days.
Allegedly upset with his fraternity for not standing by him in the face of this online lynching, Karan has decided to quit from the MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Image) film festival.
It has been heard that Karan Johar has sent an email to the artistic director Smriti Kiran saying he would like to resign.
The festival is chaired by Deepika Padukone and has Zoya Akhtar, Kabir Khan, Sidharth Roy Kapoor, Vikramaditya Motwane and Rohan Sippy on it’s board.
The report also suggests that MAMI chairperson and actress Deepika Padukone tried to convince Karan to stay back but it turns out the director had already made up his mind. karan is currently maintaining a low profile on social media and has chosen to unfollow almost everyone on Twitter except for four celebrities.
