A Kolkata Puja pays tribute to Sonu Sood’s philanthropy during crisis

During the lockdown, Sonu Sood went out of his way to help those in crisis and helped thousands reach their homes. Now in Kolkata, a puja pandal tribute to Sonu Sood’s philantrophy.

The Kestopur Prafulla Kanan Paschim Adhibash Brindo Puja which is turning 18 this year, has a pandal that highlights five iconic incidents during the crisis. And one of the scenes shows a life-size clay model of Sonu Sood helping a group of migrant labourers get on a bus.

 “We wanted to create a theme that echoed the sentiments of the common people. The migrant labourer crisis and the way Sonu Sood helped so many of them was the most humane theme we could think of,” said Ruman Chanda, the secretary of the club.
