Abhishek Bachchan opens up about working with Anurag Basu in ‘Ludo’, says the filmmaker likes to create the work on the set, which is refreshing

For the first time Abhishek Bachchan has teamed up with Anurag Basu for his upcoming film ‘Ludo’.

Talking about his experience working with Basu, Bachchan reportedly told a news portal that he followed his lead. The actor said that he didn’t have to rattle off pages of dialogues as the director prefers silences in his scenes and so does he. According to Abhishek, Anurag doesn’t like his actors to be overly prepared. Basu wants them to react instinctively to the situation he creates.

Elaborating further, Abhishek added that working with the filmmaker was a departure from the way they work currently, which involves extensive rehearsals. That way, when you come on the set, the goal is to execute. However, in Anurag’s films, he likes to create the work on the set, which Abhishek found quite refreshing.

Abhishek has the majority of scenes in the film with child artist Inayat Verma. ‘Ludo’ stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in lead roles. The film is set for a release on the OTT platform.
