Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ completed two years on December 7. He reminisced the time he introduced Sushant Singh Rajput to Bollywood in ‘Kai Po Che’ and also revealed that he feels a massive pain and vacuum.
Talking to a news portal, Abhishek Kapoor reportedly said that when he cast Sushant in ‘Kai Po Che’, he had never seen any of his work earlier. He was just an absolutely brand-new boy for him. According to the filmmaker, Sushant was sincere. He spoke very little and gave so much. Kapoor stated that he has worked with all kinds of newcomers but Sushant did not have an iota of entitlement that many other newcomers seem to carry.
Talking about Kedarnath completing two years, he said that it feels like he has so many memories with him but still it feels empty. According to the filmmaker, when you work with an actor and you introduce the actor into the film business, you put a lot of heart and soul into him. You create something that is a contribution to the film industry. A lot of movies are made with that actor and then an entire ecosystem is generated on that actor, so it’s a contribution of a filmmaker when he or she does that. And, suddenly, when he’s not there today, he feels a massive vacuum and pain.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Bandra on June 14th.
