Tiger Shroff starrer and famous Bollywood choreographer and director Ahmed Khan directed ‘Baaghi 3’ opened pretty well with occupancy of around 30-35% with Rs 17.50 Crore beating Ajay Devgan’s ‘Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior’ (16 Crore) on first day of its screening. The report also suggested that the film’s advance collection of Rs 5.50 Crore at the box office is the best any film has witnessed in 2020. However on its second day at the box office the film registered a drop in collections and managed to gather only 15.5 Crore.
According to the latest report on Boxofficeindia.com, the film has the baggage of an extraordinary 72 Crore weekend of the last film ‘Baagi 2’ but as a standalone film these numbers for the first weekend are good. On Sunday the film collected approx. 20 Crore which is said to be a good sign after a drop on second day. The film is getting very average response in bigger cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore or Chandigarh while collections in places like Patna, Surat, Agra and Bhopal are good and even very good.
It is expected that the collections may increase or decrease with the upcoming Holi celebration across the country, however it will be difficult to see how the festival will be celebrated with the coronavirus outbreak. With Holi celebrations on Monday, ‘Baaghi 3’ will record a normal day collection on Wednesday. If ‘Baaghi 3’ manages to sustain on normal days, then it could emerge as a box office hit. Delhi NCR and East Punjab circuits are important for the film. Till now, all the three films from the ‘Baaghi’ franchise have managed to open well.
The collections of Baaghi 3 are as follows.
