On March 28, the Prime Minister announced the CARES fund requesting for donations to fight the corona-virus war. Akshay Kumar is one of the first actors to donate a sum of Rs.25 crore to the PM-CARES fund. Announcing the CARES fund, PM Modi said that the fund will help the people of India during such distressing times in future. He further added that the PM-CARES fund will also accept micro-donations. “Let us leave no stones unturned to make India healthier and more prosperous for future generations,” PM Modi said.
