Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital, after testing positive for COVID-19. Taking to his Twitter handle Big B made the shocking announcement while also asking those who came in close proximity with him to get themselves tested. He wrote,“I have tested COVID positive… shifted to Hospital… hospital informing authorities… family and staff undergone tests, results awaited…” he said in his post. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”
This clarification came in hours after news broke of the actor being hospitalised, but the reasons were unconfirmed.
The actor, who has a long list of films remaining to be completed. However, owing to the government’s lockdown rules for senior citizens, he has been unable to return to the film sets.
