Reports doing the rounds claim that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) may have to redo demolished portions of actress Kangana Ranaut’s office if her documents prove that the space was authorised. While the BMC in their notice claimed that they were only breaking down “illegal alterations”, the actress has said that “There is no illegal construction in my house.
Besides the breaking down of the interiors of the office, the actress also claimed that damages were caused to her belongings. “My office was suddenly declared illegal in last 24 hours, they have destroyed everything inside including furniture and lights,” she said in her tweets.
On Wednesday, the BMC faced backlashes after demolishing portions of the Bandra office of Kangana Ranaut, with some critics saying she was targeted while other defaulters were spared.
Reports claim that over 80% of the work was done by the time Ranaut’s legal team got a stay order for the same.
Reacting to the incidents, Kangana tweeted,
“BMC, these are Mumbai road and all you are concerned about is DEMOLITION of an actress house who is exposing mafia. KUDOS to you..!! #DeathOfDemocracy,”
