B-town star, Shahid Kapoor who has won the hearts of millions with his breathe-taking and enthralling acting in movies like, Jab We Met, Kaminey, Haider, Udta Punjab and not to forget Padmavat is all set to leave his fans spellbound with his upcoming venture ‘Kabir Singh’. He has proved his versatility in acting which is acknowledged and appreciated by all.
Kabir Singh is the hindi remake of the blockbuster Telugu film, “Arjun Reddy’ (2017). Director, Sandeep Vargas’s first choice for the lead in the Hindi remake was Ranveer Singh, whereas producers Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde’s choice was Arjun Kapoor. But eventually, it was in April 2018, Shahid Kapoor was officially announced as the male lead for the movie. Kiara Advani, the female lead opposite Shahid is playing the role of ‘Preeti’.
The movie is a combination of action, drama and romance. Shahid is portraying the role of rough, unruly, alcoholic medical student, Kabir Singh. He is an angry, vengeful surgeon, who sets out on the path of self-destruction when the love of his life is forced to marry another man.
The songs of the movie are already a hit amongst the audience and ‘Bekhayali’ has already become a chartbuster even before it’s release, with its several cover versions on YouTube.
The movie is scheduled to be released on 21st June, 2019. But there are news that the team of ‘Kabir Singh’ have denied to release the movie in Pakistan following ‘Pulwama attack’.
Well! All eyes are on ‘Kabir Singh’ and the fans have already started the countdown.
