“Shocking Setback: Fans Devastated by Salman Khan’s Absence in ‘Singham Again’ Cameo”
Fans eagerly anticipating the much-talked-about crossover of Bajirao Singham and Chulbul Pandey in “Singham Again” are set for disappointment. The planned cameo of Salman Khan, reprising his iconic role as Chulbul Pandey, had to be axed due to unforeseen circumstances. Salman Khan was all geared to film his segment on October 14, 2024. However, the shoot was unexpectedly canceled following the death of Baba Siddiqui, a prominent figure and understandably a sensitive matter for everyone involved.
The source revealed to Bollywood Hungama that the filming was slated to occur at Golden Tobacco in Mumbai. The abrupt demise of Baba Siddiqui led director Rohit Shetty and actor Ajay Devgn to decide it would be inappropriate to proceed with the shoot. They felt requesting Khan’s presence during such a period would be inconsiderate. As the film was nearing its deadline for submission to the censors, they made the tough call to exclude Khan’s appearance altogether in the final cut.
There’s talk of a potential backshot featuring Chulbul Pandey in the post-credits—a tantalizing promise for fans that remains uncertain until the film’s release. Acknowledging the situation’s sensitivity, Shetty had no option but to move forward and respect Salman Khan’s privacy during this emotionally taxing time.
Salman Khan had initially agreed to the cameo due to his fondness for Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty, making the turn of events even more unfortunate. Whether audiences will catch a glimpse of Chulbul Pandey when “Singham Again” hits theaters on Diwali is a mystery only the big screen will reveal. Despite these changes, fans can still look forward to the film, headlined by Ajay Devgn and featuring Ranveer Singh in the vibrant “Jai Bajrangbali” number.
