Netflix is coming up with yet another of its originals, Mrs. Serial Killer. The first look of the movie is unveiled showing the star casts, Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina. Jacqueline plays the role of Shona Mukherjee, while Manoj Bajpayee is her husband, Dr. Mrityunjoy Mukherjee, and Mohit plays the role of Inspector Imran Shahid.
The movie is about a “doting wife” (Jacqueline) who must recreate the Serial Killer’s murdering ways to get her husband (Manoj Bajpayee) out of the jail, who has been framed into the crime falsely.
According to The Hindu, Jacqueline, who is playing the lead role in the film said, “Shona Mukherjee could be your next door neighbour but the quirks of fate throw her into a position where she has to learn to be sinister and become Mrs. Serial Killer. I cannot wait for people to see what she is capable of.”
Manoj Bajpayee too reflected on this work and said, “I play Dr. Mrityunjoy Mukherjee in the film, which is a character written by Shirish, who convinced me to work together after Kriti. The character has everything going for him till one day the world comes crashing down on him and he is accused of being a serial killer. He is helpless and must depend upon his wife to help prove his innocence. This is my first role with Netflix and I’m very happy with how Joy has shaped up.”
The movie is directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by Farah Khan. Mrs. Serial Killer will be Netflix’s fifth original from India in 2020.
The trailer of ‘Mrs. Serial Killer was released on today, 17th April at 12 p.m. and the movie will be released on 1st May, 2020. The release date was announced by the stars in a short video filmed from their respective homes under lock down.
