Rishi Kapoor hasn’t been keeping well since quite some time. The veteran actor returned from US in the month of September last year after undergoing treatment for cancer.
The 67-year-old actor felt sick and was taken to HN Reliance Hospital by his family members on Wednesday as said by his brother, Randhir Kapoor.
‘He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problem, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now,” Randhir told PTI.
Confirming to the news again, Randhir Kapoor said, “Yes, Rishi is in the hospital, his health deteriorated on Wednesday and he had difficulty in breathing. He is unable to talk due to medication. Doctors asked the family to go home so we came back. I am worried because he is my younger brother. We are praying for his speedy recovery. Neetu is by his side.”
According to reports, he is shifted to the ICU and was accompanied by his son, Ranbir and wife Neetu Kapoor.
Rishi Kapoor returned to India almost after one year, since he was on treatment for cancer in the US. But again in the month of February, he was hospitalized twice. The first time in Delhi where he was attending a family function. At that time, he was suffering from an ‘infection’.
Soon after his return to Mumbai, he was admitted again to a hospital with viral fever.
Everyone knows that he is very active in social media. But he hasn’t posted anything on his Twitter account since April.
The actor has recently announced about his next project, a remake of Hollywood film, “The Intern,” also featuring Deepika Padukone.
After his return to India, Rishi Kapoor was last seen with Emraan Hashmi in the film, ‘The Body’, released in 2019.
