Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar starring Prithviraj was supposed to release on this Diwali. But due to the pandemic and the current lockdown, the shooting for the movie has come to a halt.
Akshay Kumar was all set to have several releases this year which included Sooryavanshi, Laxxmi Bomb and Prithviraj, a few in the platter. But the recent lockdown has brought some change in plans. As per reports, we hear that the opulent palace set erect for Prithviraj will be demolished soon.
Situated in Dahisar, the set was built in the outdoor, keeping in mind the architectural style of the 12th century. Now, the team has decided to dismantle it before the arrival of the monsoon. According to a daily, “The head honchos of Yash Raj Films had kept the set standing over the past two months, hoping that the situation would improve soon. However, with the rains only weeks away, it doesn’t seem feasible to retain the set any longer. The makers are currently procuring necessary permission to have it pulled down. Akshay had filmed a major portion of the Chandraprakash Dwivedi-directed drama at the Dahisar set before the lockdown was announced, but some crucial sequences have yet to be shot.”
Confirming to it, Yash raj Films’ spokesperson said, “The set will now be put up indoors once shooting resumes.”
Prithviraj will be the debut film of Miss World, Manushi Chillar. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Manav Vij, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana and Sakshi Tanwar.
