Veteran Bollywood actress Nimmi, who marked her debut in front of the camera with Raj Kapoor’s Barsaat, passed away on Wednesday. The 87-years-old actress was admitted to a Juhu hospital after she complained of breathlessness. According to the sources from PTI, she passed away last evening i.e. on 25th March. She had been unwell for quite sometimes.
Her original name was Nawab Banoo. Raj Kapoor gave her the screen name of Nimmi and she earned praise for her performance in films like Daag, Aan, Mere Mehboob, to name a few.
