Assamese cinema has witnessed an emotional and historic moment with the release of Roi Roi Binale, the final and posthumous film of the legendary Zubeen Garg. The musical romantic drama has struck a deep chord with audiences, leaving fans teary-eyed in theatres while rewriting box office records across the region.
Released on October 31, 2025, and directed by Rajesh Bhuyan, the film opened to phenomenal reviews and sold-out shows throughout its debut weekend.
Box Office Performance: Day 1 Collection
According to Sacnilk, Roi Roi Binale earned a net collection of ₹1.53 crore on its opening day in India, with the gross total reaching ₹1.80 crore. This record-shattering figure makes it the biggest opening in Assamese cinema history.
Previously, the record was held by Ravi Sharma’s Rudra, which grossed ₹40.20 lakh on its opening day. With Roi Roi Binale surpassing that figure by a staggering 350%, it has set a new benchmark for Assamese films.
Day 2 began with an extraordinary 89% occupancy during morning shows, signaling another massive day ahead. Produced by Garima Saikia Garg, the film is poised to maintain its strong momentum, with box office expectations soaring even higher.
At this rate, Roi Roi Binale is on track to surpass Malamal Boyyyz (₹4.14 crore gross) and enter the top 10 highest-grossing Assamese films of all time. The film is also projected to overtake Bhaimon Da (₹14.31 crore gross) and potentially challenge Bidurbhai (₹15.75 crore gross) for the top spot as the highest-grossing Assamese film ever.
